Got A Question for Luke Donald?
By mustang6560 on 9/16/11
Hey, oobers. I need/want your help.
Mizuno invited us to attend its media day on Monday at the Country Club of the South in Atlanta ahead of the FedExCup finale and yours truly will be in attendance. World number one Luke Donald and fellow Mizuno staff player Charles Howell, III will be in attendance and again, yours truly will have the opportunity to sit in on a press conference with both players.
I could easily come up with several questions to ask Luke and Charles, but I thought, why not give YOU, our loyal readers, the opportunity to submit questions for me to ask? I know right, what a good idea!
If you have a question you would like me to ask Luke and/or Charles, submit it in the comments below. Make sure to tell me who the question is for and keep the questions realistic and NOT about Tiger Woods. I'll pick the best question(s) that are submitted Sunday night and I'll do my best to get each one answered. But, realistically I will only be able to ask one or two questions total.
Ready. Set. Go!

What has held you back from winning a Major?
Matt Otskey says:
Is he going to be there on September 27th when I get a tour of the Mizuno facilities and play a round at the Country Club of the South??!!?? =D
Question for Luke Donald: "How do you like the Spurs chances against Wigan this weekend?"
You could ask all the obvious questions and let him go through the motions in responding. Asking about his favorite Premier League team might just throw him off a bit.
A line of questioning that is somewhat more golf related could be:
"The day after you assumed the #1 spot, you probably felt no different than when you were #2 or #10. Now that you have had some time at the top, have you gotten more used to the idea of being #1? Do you feel any different? Do people treat you any different?"
How about dem Bears?
I think you gotta be original...
Luke, if you were forced to choose one or the other, would choose golf or painting?
Other than you, who is the best "artist" on the pga tour?
They're both interested in course design - what do they each consider the best pure course design (not taking into account whether majors have been played there) and what is the most important factor to consider when designing a course?
Both - what's the most alcohol you've ever drank while playing 18 holes and what did you shoot?
Both - Do you like bacon? If not, what's wrong with you? If so, yeah I agree, it's totally awesome.
Both - how many sets of Mizuno irons will you be donating to OOBGOLF.COM to review and giveaway to its addicts?
CHIII - Do you call your wife "Lovey" and do you remember someone taking this picture of you and Gilligan?
Kurt the Knife says:
Here's one: "Do you think Tiger will ever be the same golfer again?"
Luke, have you ever heard a stray "booooo" snuck in with the "Luuuuuukes?"
Bet him five bucks he can't hit the ball-picker.
Ask him, "How's it goin'?"
I'd like to know what his honest (I know, I'm reaching) opinion of the current formula for the World Golf Rankings is. Does he think it's OK the way it is? Should tournaments be weighted depending on the strength of the field of a specific tournament? Would it be easier if the formula was simplified?
Luke: How did you resist the power of the dark side? Were yuo upset when you found out Darth Vader was your father? Why didn't you kill Darth Vader when you had the chance?
Have you ever seen a grown man naked?
Why haven't you been able to put Mizuno drivers and fairway metals in play?
Thanks for the questions! I'll let you know Tuesday which questions I chose. Hopefully I get the chance to ask them!
Congrats on #1 in world. Huge fan and have been for about 6-7 years now. i new you would be there. Just wondering how i could get a case or 2 of your wine for my wedding dinner table. Small wedding at a historic golf course in naniamo bc canada. It would be awesome to have my favorite golfers wine at my wedding. Im a scratch golfer who tryed but failed to qualify at your RBC Canadian Open in Vancouver 2011. My father in-law is a golf teacher in naniamo who attended san diego golf academy in the late 80's. Im even wearing the traditional royal stewert kilt along with my son(5yrs) as i get married. It would be awsome to purchase your wine and have it for our wedding. thnx dave
