The Open Championship Challenge Winner
By mustang6560 on 7/23/12
As oober bkuehn1952 noted in The Open Championship recap post, it's time to announce the winner of The Open Championship Challenge.
Well, it's no coincidence he is so eager for me to announce the winner because he won. His team of Tiger Woods, Kyle Staney, Graeme McDowell, and Martin Laird finished 42-under-par, which was one stroke better than my team of Rafael Cabrera Bello, Bubba Watson, Nicolas Colsaerts, and Ian Poulter.
I don't want to take away anything from bkuehn1952's win, so I won't mention that I'm 34 strokes ahead of him through the first three majors of the year (I don't want to sound arrogant or anything). Instead, I'll simply congratulate him on a job well done and a deserving victory! Let's hear it for bkuehn1952!
As the winner, he'll add another year onto his Addict+ subscription. He already won a year last December in the first annual oobgolf awards as the Guest Columnist of the Year, so it's going to be a minute before he'll need to renew.
The final segment of the Best Ball Majors Challenge is next month for the PGA Championship, which is the last major of the calendar year. You have roughly a month to prepare your team for a chance to win your very own Addict+ subscription.

Wait a minute here. I had Tiger, Adam Scott, Ernie Els and Brandt Snedeker. I should have won. Did you not get my entry?
