CME Group Titleholders Giveaway
By mustang6560 on 11/15/12
We don't need an excuse to host a giveaway on oob (we can do whatever we want whenever we want) but if I was looking for an excuse to host a giveaway, I think the season-ending CME Group Titleholders on the LPGA would be as good of an excuse as any.
Up for grabs is (you guessed it) a Goose Golf Towel, courtesy of Goose Golf. To enter the giveaway, simply answer the following question in the comments section below.
What is your favorite golf memory of 2012?
Your favorite golf memory can be related to your personal game or to the professional game. There is no wrong answer. You can leave as many comments as you'd like, but only your first comment will count as entry into the random drawing. All comments posted by 11:59pm Sunday, November 18 will be counted.
** Giveaway is open to all legal US residents 18 years or older. No purchase necessary. A winner will be announced the week of November 19, 2012 on oobgolf.com. Tax expenses are not included. You have the right to refuse the prize. In case of prize refusal a series of new entrants will be picked until the prize is accepted. Odds of winning based on number of entries. Void where prohibited. For a list of winners, click here.

I'll be the first to go - my favorite golf memory of 2012 was breaking 80 for the first time!
winning my flight of the town tournament for the 1st time.
rediscovering my driver after a period of ignorance. The "thrill is back" and so is the "boom" "have some if you please" you can read about it in the link. www.oobgolf.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5184&d742
a golf weekend down in Orlando
Watching my brothers 2nd shot fall from 140 yards on the last hole, to win our flight and the only skin in the 2 man scramble tournament.
Two man tournament over two days with best ball, scramble, and alt shot formats. We made it to the sudden death alternate shot playoffs, and rode through 7 holes while having to give strokes to the other teams until we were finally eliminated.
Kurt the Knife says:
Planning and executing a 150yd, severe fade shot onto the 13th green to within 5 ft at Green Tree in Vacaville.
A grumpy old dude I combined with at Mare Island showed me how its done and I gave it a try.
Of course my swing most always produces a severe fade (slice) but this time I convinced myself I planned it.
Hitting an absolute gem on the par3 5th at Red Tail. It was the shot that makes you keep trying to play this silly game. Since, I always hit/play for a fade, I had to start the shot over a bunker on a severe drop off the green, and hope that the ball did what it always did. Sure enough, the ball started out at the bunker, just as I had planned, and then turned right, heading directly at the flag. 2-putted for par, and left the green smiling.
I got my first Eagle and shot my lowest round. 3-3-12. Never Forget!
Hmmm...so many great golf memories in 2012. Maybe the best was shooting even par "71" on my 60th birthday.
My first chip in for birdie.
Shooting a personal best 84.
opening a box that came for me in the mail with my new Mizuno irons in them. it was like Christmas.
Shot an 81 on the home course this summer.
My one and only birdie (so far) on the 16th hole, par 3, at Bayonet & Black Horse Golf Course. Hit 7 iron from 150 yards and dropped it 10 feet from the hole, then careful 10 foot put for birdie!
Shooting my new personal best of 2 under 70! And then a month later shooting a 2nd personal best 74 in a tournament!
idk guess shooting a personal best of sort
Shooting a 50 with our usual scramble crew in a tournament this year. 14 birdies, 4 eagles (with one knocked in on a par 4 from 105 yards). We had 3 feet of string to use but only had to use half of it by the end of the round. Everybody was on fire!
Winning my league after finishing 2nd the past 2 years.
