Hyundai Tournament of Champions Giveaway
By mustang6560 on 1/3/13
The Hyundai Tournament of Champions, which is a limited-field event, kicks off tomorrow from Hawaii. In theory, the 30-man field is comprised of all the 2012 PGA Tour champions, however, in practice, not all of them turn out (i.e. Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy).
But, it's important to be glass-half-full golf fans. The field may not include the top seven golfers in the Official World Golf Ranking, however, Masters champion Bubba Watson, U.S. Open champion Webb Simpson, FedExCup champion Brandt Snedeker, and The Players champion Matt Kuchar made the trip to The Aloha State. The field also includes the likes of Rickie Fowler, Dustin Johnson, Hunter Mahan, Ian Poulter, Keegan Bradley, Jason Dufner, Steve Stricker, and our boy Charlie Beljan. As a golf fan, you should be excited to watch the first event of the 2013 PGA Tour season.
We're so excited to quit watching reruns on The Golf Channel that we're ready to hold the first (of many) oobgolf weekly giveaways. Up for grabs is a 1-Year "Value Membership" at Boxgroove.com (a $49 value). Boxgroove is a website similar to GolfNow, but its database only includes private golf courses (661 private courses in 49 stats and three countries). To enter the giveaway, simply answer the following question in the comments below:
What golf tournament are you most looking forward to in 2013?
All comments posted by Sunday, January 6, 2013 will be counted as entry. You can leave as many comments as you'd like, however, only your first answer will count as entry.
** Giveaway is open to all legal US residents 18 years or older. No purchase necessary. A winner will be announced the week of January 7, 2012 on oobgolf.com. Tax expenses are not included. You have the right to refuse the prize. In case of prize refusal a series of new entrants will be picked until the prize is accepted. Odds of winning based on number of entries. Void where prohibited. For a list of winners, click here.

2013 City of Ann Arbor-Miles of Golf Men's Amateur Championship. I can already tell you who won't win this event but I always have fun testing my game against the better players in the area.
Yes, I know I was supposed to mention the Masters or U.S. Open but the pro game, while interesting, for me pales in comparison to the little events in which I participate. A close second would be the 2013 WAHC if I pull my poop together and attend this year.

I look forward to the Kaanapali Skins game. Mostly cuz it typically coincides with our winter soiree to get my girl some sun during these upper latitude greys.
I like the pro am part where i can jaw with the champions. Gotta say, Gerhard Langher...really a pleasant dude.

I'd say the Farmers Insurance Open - Since I'm going to go this year! It'll be cool to walk the course and see pros hit shots from the same turf. Even if they're making greens in 2, and hitting from 30 yards farther back!
Masters tournament as always.
Wells Fargo at Quail Hollow in Charlotte NC... hope to attend this year again.

I'll be attending the Northern Trust at Riviera on day 1 or 2, so looking forward to that one. Aside from that, I always love watching the Accenture Match Play, which I hope to attend some day. Then, the majors of course. Love the Masters and their awesome smartphone and tablet app.
The 2013 Wendy's Three-Tour Challenge!!!
sorry, just felt like giving the most ironic answer I could think of. Honestly it's probably the USO at Merion. Classic course where lots of icons of golf have won, and I've never really seen much of it.
US Open - hoping to make it there, if only for a practice round
US Senior Open - already have my tix
Masters - I know, unoriginal but I love the course, the tradition and that it is often on Easter!
Bridgestone Invitational because it's in my hometown.
U.S. Open. I am volunteering and have been assigned to transport players from the practice area to the tees!

@SMAtthews: Lucky duck, you...
I know I'm not eligible, but I look forward mostly to the Masters, the U.S. Open at Merion. However, since I'm no longer car-less, I'm also looking forward to actually attending the 3M Championship, seniors' stop here in the Twin Cities.
2013 Wisconsin State Open... This is my year! To qualify, anyway...
looking forward to this years WAHC as well as the Lehigh Valley Open
Masters for sure, hopefully i'll get down there this year (fingers crossed).
Any golf will be welcome. Been to long since I've been able to watch or play.
US Open at Merion....I'll be there
I've not made it before, but I'm thinking of volunteering at the Champions tour, TPC Snoqualmie Ridge, here is Wa. state this year. Great to see the pro's up close. Plus for volunteering, you get to play the course!
Definitely looking forward to the 2013 River Place Men's Club Championship so I can get back what is rightly mine!!! Oh, and Bubba's defense at Augusta!!!
Same as every year, The Masters Golf Tournament
MASTERS!!!!!! nuf said!!!!!!
U.S OPEN! Or heck. if they could get on with the hundai tournament of champions in kuai already that would be great thanks!
