Results: Best Ball Majors Challenge Masters
By mustang6560 on 4/15/13
The oobgolf group leaderboard in the Best Ball Majors Challenge was crowded heading into Masters Sunday. I imagine if you watched the leaderboard unfold in real-time, it was almost as exciting as watching the real Masters leaderboard.
In the end, 'srogers13', who I assume is oober srogers13, edged 'jhksauser' to win the Masters segment of the fantasy challenge. His team of Tiger Woods, Jason Dufner, Keegan Bradley, and Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano finished 44-under-par (I bet he was happy Tiger Woods wasn't disqualified!).
As the winner, we'll add one year to his current Addict+ subscription. Let's hear it for oober srogers13 (speech, speech, speech!).
There are three more segments in the Best Ball Majors Challenge, so you have three more chances to win! The next segment is the U.S. Open, which starts in eight weeks from Thursday.

As most of you would look near the top of that leaderboard makes sure you look near the bottom to see how the mighty mustang did. I only point this out because he won the year last year and two of 4 segments. Now we all know last year was a fluke.
I won two segments (Masters & PGA) and I won overall. Hardly a "fluke". Alas, my title defense was on par with Bubba's.
Tis is me who won, thank you. But if we talk about holding up the rest of us, we need not forget about the tremendous effort put forth by mjaber.
Congratulations to Sean. As to a definition for "fluke", see the results of the 2012 Open Championship Challenge. My victory was achieved from the results of several coin flips. I have learned that in many endeavors it is better to be lucky than skillful.
Perhaps my decision to add Tom Watson was not the smartest, but my heart was in the right place. :)
I shall now strive to achieve the covetted "most improved" award by attempting to not be last next time.
Congrats srogers13! Nice pickin'
