Tiger Woods Saves Steve Williams

Tiger Woods put the latest Steve Williams controversy to bed (hopefully for good).
“We talked this morning, we met face to face and talked about it, talked it through,” Woods said. “He did apologize. It was hurtful, certainly, but life goes forward.”He also potentially saved Steve's
“No, Stevie’s certainly not a racist, there’s no doubt about that,” Woods said. “I think it was a comment that shouldn’t have been made and was certainly one that he wished he didn’t make.”I applaud Tiger for standing up for his former looper. He easily could have stepped to the side and watched Steve's career fall to the waste side and never looked back. Instead, he jumped in and essentially saved Steve from the gauntlet as some people were calling for his head. It's easy to call Tiger a jerk because, well, he has jerk-y tendencies, but the fact he helped an old friend shows he's not all bad.
Tiger and Steve are both in Sydney this week for the Australian Open so it was only a matter of time before the two ran into each other and I'm glad the meeting happened early in the week. Otherwise, we'd have to read more columns from golf pundits who only want to fuel the controversy.

Fall by the waste side and saved from the gauntlet calling for his head, whew!
Ugh, racism, such a weirdass issue these days. One side acts like it is the worst thing that can happen to people and the other insist that it doesn't really exist, or only it exists in the most extremist cases. I've long believed that the word racist is like white ppl's equivalent of the n-word. It's like the most dreaded thing you can call whitey these days. So Stevie's a little racist, big frickin deal. We are all a little bit racist, he was just stupid for airing it out in public. end of story.
This is the classiest thing Tiger has done in a long time.
