Johnson Wagner Wins Sony Open

Johnson Wagner outlasted a handful of players to capture his third career PGA Tour victory at the Sony Open. With his victory at Waialae, Johnson accomplished his preseason goal of winning early to earn his second invitation to The Masters in April.
"I was definitely telling people to expect something early this year, which is a nice feeling," Wagner said. "Usually, my confidence is low. I'm kind of shy in a little shell. And for some reason, I just had way more energy and confidence going into this year."Now the question is whether or not we'll see his Magnum P.I. mustache at Augusta?
"Kind of made a deal with myself in December that if I was to get into the Masters, then I was going to keep the mustache for at least this year," he said. "Everybody said, `Oh, is it a Movember mustache? Well, it's December, time to shave it.' I said, Look, this is not a one-month mustache. This is potentially a 10-year mustache.'I for one, did not foresee a Johnson Wagner victory at the Sony Open. In fact, I did not predict the outcome at Waialae well at all. Two of my starters for the week missed the cut in the oobgolf fantasy golf league and for that, my rank fell from third place to 12th.

My picks did not exactly shine this past tournament. Currently mired in 25th place. Sigh.
I keep reading his name as Johnson Wagger. Also, I'm 12.
I am currently sporting a 'stache so I was glad to see a another 'stache win a golf tourney. It was one of those finales where it seemed like nobody wanted to win and Johnson Wagner seemed like the only cool head out there.
Congrats to Johnson Wagner: he kept his cool pretty well until the last hole, where he nearly fell apart: he still made par though, but that was ticklish... Personally, I did ok, by picking KJ Choi, Brendon De Jonge and Carl Pettersson, who was good for a second place bonus of 10 points. I am in 7th place, a big improvement.
