Rory McIlroy: No Cell Phones Please!
By mustang6560 on 4/3/12
Rory McIlroy did not bring his cell phone into his Tuesday morning interview at Augusta National and his cell phone did not ring midway through his Q&A with reporters.
The beep coming from his waist around the seven minute mark was not the beep of a cell phone. Rors may be wet behind the ears, but he is wise enough to know that Augusta National has a strict no cell phone policy. It was probably just a beep from one of those silly reporters voice recorders.
And the sudden reaction to reach into his pocket was not the same sudden reaction one has when his cell phone rings in a public place and he tries to silence it quickly. It looked more like the sudden reaction one has when their hip itches and you have to itch it quickly otherwise the itch spreads.
No, the Northern Irishman knows better. In fact, he's so concerned about the policy that after he finishes scratching his pesky hip itch, he reminds those forgetful little reporters that cell phones are not permitted on the premises of Augusta National. If only everyone could be as respectful of the traditions as Rory.
See, this is why we love Rory. He knows how to behave in every situation!
