It's Good To Be Bubba Watson

Winning a major championship immediately elevates your status in the world of golf.
Don't believe me?
Just ask Bubba Watson, the newly crowned Masters champion.
First, his Twitter followers jumped from just over 300k prior to his win Sunday to nearly 500k in less than two days. And even though he didn't respond to me directly on Twitter (come on, Bubba, tweet back at me!), he is one of the best golf personalities on Twitter in terms of connecting with his fans. If you tweet at Bubba, there is a good chance he'll tweet back at you. Doesn't everyone want to say they connected with a Masters champion?
Second, everyone wants a piece of your equipment. Ping announced earlier today that it plans to release 5k limited edition all-pink G20 drivers, just like the one Bubba used to setup his ridiculous approach shot on the second hole of the sudden-death playoff to win the Masters (wait, that wasn't planned?). If you like pink things and Bubba is one of your favorite golfers, then you can purchase your own limited edition G20 for only $430 come June.
It will be interesting to see how much Bubba changes with his new found fame. I know he said he doesn't want to be famous, but he doesn't have a choice anymore. After tonight's appearances on Piers Morgan and the Late Show with David Letterman, even more people will know who he is.

Isn't he using a pink putter as well?
Bubba just tweeted a pic from inside his limo while he's being escorted around NYC. #mustbenice
the guy with the Bubba tat doesnt seem like such and idiot any more...now if Bubba could just learn to play right handed that dude would be set.
Love the Bubba, good to see a feel player that just hits it and goes. JMO far to many perfect swings on the PGA, I love watching the champions tour, those guys figured out how to get it done with what they had.
Doesn't want to be famous, bullcrap. Anyone can see that he quite enjoys fame. He probably means to say that he doesn't want the baggage.
good luck trying to make solid contact if it comes with his pink, bi-matrix shaft and 7.5 degree head.
