Ping Honors Louis Oosthuizen's Albatross
By mustang6560 on 4/25/12
A gold-plated replica of the Ping S56 4-iron Louis Oosthuizen used to card an albatross in the final round of the Masters will be on permanent display at the company's headquarters.
All of its players have a gold-plated replica of their winning putters put in Ping’s vault in Scottsdale, Ariz., and sometimes even more special additions are put in the vault. A double eagle at the Masters would qualify, so a gold S56 4-iron was added to the vault recently. Oosthuizen also received one for his collection. If I was Louis, I'd hang the gold-plated replica and the original S56 (in the shape of an X) over the mantle in my house with a sign that said, "The Shot Almost Heard 'Round The World".

Wow! Bet they would've thrown in a gold putter to go with it had he won.
No gold plated pink driver for Bubba?
dang that is hella nice
Solid gold would be more impressive. But it looks nice, and a great shot too.
