![]() Keegan Bradley: From the trailer park to the PGA Tour By mustang6560 on 7/12/12
Thanks to oober legitimatebeef for the tip.
As a PGA Tour rookie last year, Keegan Bradley won over $3.7 million dollars - and that doesn't even include the money he made off the course in sponsorship dollars. But, life for the Vermont native has not always included living in Jupiter, Florida and receiving special on-field invitations from NFL football teams. In fact, at one point in his life, Keegan lived in a trailer with his dad in Massachusetts. Bradley said he remembers those days as “one of the most fun times in his life,” and he credits his modest beginnings with giving him perspective on his success on Tour.If you're a subscriber to Golf Magazine, you've probably already read this in-depth story about the 2011 PGA Championship winner. But, for those of you who haven't read it yet, it's worth the read. read more Image via Flickr, @Keegan_Bradley Did I miss something? Tip Your Editor [ comments ]
I agree with Keegan about his feelings regarding the lean times. When my family was the poorest it was really the best time for me. We all came closer together. Cooperation and empathy were essential. Pleasures became simpler. Imaginations bloomed. When our financial situation improved, distractions arose and we grew further apart. I know my Dad probably felt uncomfortable about that period but he never burdened us children with his anxieties. Kool for Keegan to get his payday. 7/12/12
