Torleif Sorenson says:
What IS it with some of these Brits who have certain decision-making powers? This is the same mentality that caused Georg Friedrich Händel's "Gloria" (ca. 1709) to lay in the stacks at the Royal Academy of Music, going unverified and unperformed for almost 300 years.

Next thing you'll see is the Welsh trying to horn in on the "Open" action. Egads, doesn't anyone respect tradition!!!!!
G-L-O-R-I-A was written 300 years ago wow!!!

Laura Branigan did a song called Gloria also. I thought she had the greatest voice, but I never heard anything from her after Gloria.
