Who is favored to win the PGA Championship?
By mustang6560 on 8/3/12
The fourth and final major of the 2012 campaign, the PGA Championship, is almost here (we just have to wait a couple more days for the Bridgestone Invitational to run its course).
In anticipation of the last major of the season, it's time to look at who is favored to win at Kiawah Island. It should be no surprise that Tiger Woods is the overall favorite, according to Ladbrokes, and the usual suspects, Rory McIlroy, Phil Mickelson, Luke Donald, and Lee Westwood, round out the top five.
It seems as though the odds don't change much from major to major, which makes me wonder, does anyone actually bet on golf? I know sports betting is big in some countries but I've never placed a bet on a golf tournament and nobody I know has either.

i placed a bet in Vegas on Westwood for the 09 Open at Turnberry win. he was one putt away from the playoff. so close...
My biggest betting disappointment was my $20 trifecta bet at a greyhound track. The odds were 1500 to 1 on dogs 4,3,and 2 to finish in that order. The payout would have been $30,000.00. The dogs were 50 feet from the finish in the order 4,3, and 2 when the lead dog appeared to blow a tire. I'm convinced that he was wearing a remote controlled shock collar.
