Who will DL3 select with his four captain's picks?

Following the conclusion of the PGA Championship, U.S. Ryder Cup captain Davis Love III will have a few decisions to make - four decisions to be exact.

Once the final putt drops on The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island Sunday, the Team USA Points Standings will be finalized and the top eight players in the standings will automatically be selected to represent the United States in the upcoming Ryder Cup at Medinah Country Club. After that, well, that's when the real fun begins.

Who will DL3 select with his four captain's picks? Will he pick experience over youth? Or will he opt for fresh blood? Well, according to Ryan Lavner, DL3 seems to value maturity over adolescence, which is not a bad philosophy.
U.S. Ryder Cup captain Davis Love III hinted earlier in the week that Steve Stricker and Jim Furyk – veterans of nine combined Ryder Cups – would likely be captain’s picks if they didn’t qualify on points. That would leave players such as Mahan, Fowler, Dustin Johnson and Brandt Snedeker to vie for the final two positions.
The other notable players on the bubble include Bo Van Pelt and Bill Haas. The other players inside the top 25 will most certainly not earn a spot on the U.S. Ryder Cup team.

If you were DL3, would you pick age over beauty?

Fowler & Mahan haven't helped themselves by missing the cut. I think you need to take at least one of either Stricker or Furyk (who else is Tiger gonna play with?)

Unless someone bumps Phil out of the top 8, I'd take Stricker, Furyk, D. Johnson, and Fowler.

I would take the easy way out - Ranked 9-12 after the PGA are Mahan, Stricker, Furyk and Fowler. Why upset everyone by bumping one of them for someone further down the line (Johnson? Haas?)? No one has shown particularly great form of late so stay with the rankings.

Furyk and Stricker are in both due to veteran experience and the fact that they have had strong late seasons. After that who knows - Fowler and Mahan are the talents with the points but haven't played well lately. Snedeker and Van Pelt have played well at times during the late stretch but neither has shown the ability to handle high pressure situations, which you need for Ryder Cup. Dustin Johnson is who he is.
