Rory-Tiger: The best pairing in golf
By mustang6560 on 8/15/12
The first round of the FedExCup Playoffs is still one week away, but I'm already looking forward to it.

Because Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods will be paired together for the first two rounds of the Barclays.
Tiger Woods and McIlroy, currently Nos. 1 and 2, respectively, in the FedEx Cup race, are assured of playing in the same group during next week’s Barclays event at Bethpage Black. In the playoffs, players are grouped together in the first two rounds of each tournament by their standing in the FedEx Cup points race.
It's purely a coincidence that the two are paired together, however, the timing couldn't be better. Rory's victory at the PGA Championship symbolized a changing of the guard in golf and now the two are paired together for our viewing pleasure for two whole rounds! The only thing that could make it better is if they're paired together Sunday and they're both in contention down the stretch. How exciting would that be?

If Rory is truly the next great golfer, it'll be interesting to see how he handles the pressure of playing with the GOAT - Greatest of All Time.

Tiger vs. Rory fever is spreading fast. They just announced a head-to-head matchup called "The Duel at Jinsha Lake" - a one round match play contest in China this October. There's no prize money, so I'm not sure what the purpose of the event is, other than possibly to create buzz in the largest growing consumer market in the world. Oh there, maybe I just answered my own question.

Iv’e found some live streams for ‘The Duel’ between World #1 Rory McIlroy and the World #2 Tiger Woods. The event isn’t being shown on television, but Australian syndicate platform Spondo are supplying live streams from Jinsha Lake Golf Club via the links below, check them out.
