Goodbye Northern Ireland!

Is Rory McIlroy planning to follow in former countryman David Feherty's footsteps and become an American citizen?
Golfer Rory McIlroy's luxury home in Northern Ireland is up for sale with a £2 million asking price.

It is situated at Moneyreagh in the hills above Belfast and the five bedroom property includes a practice area with a putting green and driving range. There is also a gymnasium in an adjoining refurbished stone barn.

McIlroy once shared the house with girlfriend Holly Sweeney before the relationship ended in 2011. He now shares his life with tennis star Caroline Wozniacki.
I was mostly joking when I advised Rors to play for the U.S. in the Rio Olympics instead of trying to decide between Great Britain or Ireland. But, we'll definitely welcome him with open arms if he does in fact decide to become an American citizen.

He'll move here because of playing the PGA Tour full time, just like Poulter etc. I doubt he'll take out citizenship at the moment, if ever.
