Who will captain the Euros in 2014?

Paul McGinley is a European Ryder Cup veteran.
He's played on three winning teams ('02, '04, '06) and he's served as vice-captain on two winning teams ('10, '12).
His individual record at the Ryder Cup is less than stellar (2-2-5), however, the Ryder Cup is a team event and Europe is 5-0 when Paul is on the team. In fact, Europe's only Ryder Cup loss in the 21st Century, back in '08, was the one year Paul wasn't associated with the team.
So, it was expected and rumored that Paul would be Jose Maria Olazabal's successor and captain Team Europe in the 2014 Ryder Cup at Gleneages. But, according to Padraig Harrington, the captaincy is going to 2011 Open Championship champion Darren Clarke.
Padraig Harrington has revealed that the smart money is on Darren Clarke to captain the European Ryder Cup team at Gleneagles in 2014.Like Paul, Darren was also involved in every European victory in the 21st Century as a player or vice-captain. But, as a player, Darren has a better Ryder Cup record (10-7-3). In addition, he also has a major championship victory in his trophy case.
I think both men would do an excellent job as captain, however, I'd rather see Darren captain the Euros in 2014 because I think he has more of a personality, and therefore would be a more entertaining captain.
