Davis Love III keeps the streak alive

Davis Love III wasn't fighting for his job yesterday like Charlie Beljan, however, the reigning Ryder Cup captain was playing for something in the final round of the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals Classic.
DL3 entered the fourth and final Fall Series event with the hopes of winning enough money to earn over $1 million for the 18th straight season and finish inside the top 100 on the PGA Tour money list for the 27th time. But his T40 finish left him $10,247 short of the million dollar mark which subsequently left him outside the top 100 (#102). However, he did keep one very impressive streak alive. In his 27 years as a member of the PGA Tour, he's never finished outside the top 125. Not even Jack Nicklaus or Arnold Palmer can say that!
Davis turns 49 next year which gives him one more full season on the PGA Tour before it's time to join the gentlemen of the game on the Champions Tour. With 20 PGA Tour victories including one major (1997 PGA), he's a shoe-in for the World Golf Hall of Fame. But the Georgia-resident would like to add another win or two to his resume before he starts competing against the living legends.
The good news is he'll be able to completely focus on his game. His tenure as Ryder Cup is over and he's no longer a member of the PGA Tour Policy Board.
