Spotted: Adam Scott with traditional length putter
By mustang6560 on 12/4/12
It appears Adam Scott may be the first player to ditch his long putter following the proposed ban on anchored putting.
The Queenslander was spotted on the practice green using a traditional putter with a slightly extended shaft.

He employed a claw-style grip with his bottom hand, similar to his technique with the broomstick, but crucially the shaft was not anchored to his midriff.

There was a clear gap of around eight centimetres between the end of the putter handle and his body.

He then took to the course with Watson and used his new wand exclusively throughout the round.
I wonder if Adam heard that Keegan Bradley was called a cheater last weekend at the World Challenge? If he did, I wonder if it motivated him to pick up the traditional putter sooner rather than later?

This will become more and more common. The guys who use anchored putters now their time is coming and they must adapt. Why not during the 3 weeks they call the off season!!!

Looks like he was just toying with us. He's back to the broomstick.
