If winning her third professional event as an amateur last week at the ripe old age of 15 wasn't enough, Lydia Ko put herself in position to win her fourth at the ISPS Handa Australia Open.
Lydia Ko's record-breaking start to the Australian Open in Canberra today had playing partner and world No.1 Yani Tseng reaching for the superlatives as the Kiwi teen surged to the outright lead. The truly impressive part about Lydia's 63 was she bested playing partners Yani Tseng by five strokes and Michelle Wie by 11. Did you read the part about how she's only 15-years-old? Someone should tell her golf isn't supposed to be this easy. Wait, on second thought, let's not say anything and just sit back and enjoy the fact we're witnessing history. read more Read an interesting golf article? Tip your editor! She's the next Tiger Woods! Actually, I am going to tune into an LPGA event next time she plays as she appears to be one heck of a golfer. 2/14/13

I hope this lasts. She is a pleasure to watch. It's been a long time since someone came along who seems to be totally at ease with herself and enjoying every moment of the experience. She is not at all full of herself. She also reacts wonderfully with the galleries. Reminds me of the way Arnie made everyone watching think that he had made personal contact with them. It's called charm. 2/14/13
She is one amazing young woman; I can't wait to see her compete in the majors. 2/14/13
