Tiger Shelved With "Merion Elbow"
By Torleif Sorenson on 6/19/13
Earlier today, Tiger Woods announced on his web site that he will not play the in the PGA Tour event he hosts, the AT&T National, at Congressional Country Club at the end of this month. Without question, Tiger's left arm was causing him pain during the U.S. Open at Merion. Thankfully, Tiger and most other golfers are more forthcoming than, say, the NHL when it comes to disclosing injuries; Tiger would have been described as having "an upper-body injury."
"I was examined after I returned home from the U.S. Open, and the doctors determined I have a left elbow strain. I have been advised to take a few weeks off, rest and undergo treatment. I'll be ready to go for the British Open, and I'm looking forward to playing at Muirfield.Like him or not, golf needs Tiger Woods. Here's hoping that he's back to 100% on July 18, when the 142nd Open Championship begins at Muirfield.

Is it possible that Tiger played so badly because his elbow was killing him? If yes, kudos to him for playing through it and not using it as an excuse
Why does golf "need" Tiger Woods?
Torleif Sorenson says:
Duke of Hazards says:
I feel his pain. I, too, suffer from a left elbow injury, although mine was injured pulling orphans to safety out of a flaming bus wreck.
Duke, don't forget you also lifted that same bus off of a couple of puppies, too.
Duke is my hero. I remember that day well. I was on fire and he put the flames out after he pull me to safety and also kissed the burned area and it looked and felt like fire had never seen my legs.
Torleif Sorenson says:
...and when he got back to the office, Duke found a bug in the company's PowerPoint presentation. He instantly wrote a macro that saved the company's big presentation - and they won the big contract!
I heard Duke slept with a convent of nuns. Those nuns gave birth to the 1972 Miami Dolphins.
I heard that Tiger went to the doctor and said "My elbow hurts when I do this" and then the doctor said "Ok, then don't do that"
DUke reminds me of the Dos Equis guy...when i do...i prefer dos equis...fi opportunity knocks on his door and he is not home...opportunity waits!
If only they'd have the US Open at Bay Hill.....
