If only Phil's dream had come true!
Phil's Alternate Reality
By mustang6560 on 7/31/13
In his dreams, Phil Mickelson is the 2013 U.S. Open champion.

No, seriously.

Lefty admitted as much in his pre-WGC-Bridgestone Invitational press conference yesterday.
"I'm going to share something with you. When I woke up (before Sunday's final round), I had dreamt that I had already won the U.S. Open, and so I had the same feelings and excitement that I had won. I finally won the U.S. Open; it was such a great feeling," Mickelson said. "And it took me over a minute to realize that I haven't played the final round and that I've got to go out and still do it."
The unconscious mind can be so cruel!

The 2014 U.S. Open is nearly a year away, but as Peter Alliss said in the waning moments of the Open Championship coverage, now that Phil is three-quarters of the way to the career slam, I bet he and Bones essentially move to North Carolina to start preparing for Pinehurst.

Poor guy. He had to pay more in taxes in one week than I've made in salary in my career, and then he suddenly realized that he hadn't won every golf tournament on the planet. It must suck to be him.

KPMG probably has his back in the tax department. They're only one of the four largest auditors and tax advisors in the world.
