Field Is Set For East Lake
By mustang6560 on 9/17/13
The field is set for the season-ending Tour Championship, the final leg of the FedExCup Playoffs. The top 30 in the FedExCup Playoffs Points are headed to East Lake for a chance to win $10 million.
Since the PGA Tour resets the points, each player -- even Dustin Johnson -- has a mathematical chance of winning the season-long bonus. But only the top 5 -- Tiger Woods, Henrik Stenson, Adam Scott, Zach Johnson and Matt Kuchar -- control their own destiny, meaning if they win the Tour Championship, then they win the FedExCup.
Despite my recent criticism, I am rooting for Steve Stricker to win the Tour Championship and the FedExCup. He only played in 12 events this year and he's currently sixth in the FedExCup Playoffs Points, which puts him in a strong position heading into East Lake. A victory Sunday might also put his name on a Hall of Fame ballot one day.

Hopefully the weather will co operate. Great venue. Super field. May the best man win.
There is a chance of scattered thunderstorms on the weekend.
