Steve Stricker Plans to Keep Limited Schedule
By mustang6560 on 10/9/13
As the old saying goes, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." And according to Steve Stricker, his limited schedule is just fine.

Following his 3-2-0 performance in Presidents Cup, he was asked if he planned to make any changes to his 2013-2014 schedule.
"Probably about the same," Stricker said. "Maybe 11 or 12 events."

Stricker, who added the final three playoff events to his schedule in 2013 to make the Presidents Cup team and a run at the FedEx Cup crown, will add one event to his line up for the 2013-14 season. He told GolfChannel.com at Muirfield Village that he plans to play the Open Championship.

"My daughter said she would like to go (to Royal Liverpool) so that seems like one (he would add)," said Stricker, who went 3-2-0 for the U.S. team last week.
It's hard to argue with his decision.

In 13 starts in 2013, he earned four second place finishes, eight top 10 finishes, and 11 top 25 finishes. His worst finish of the year was a T38 at the Shell Houston Open. His season culminated with a T2 finish at the Tour Championship, an event he almost skipped in lieu of a hunting trip, and a third place finish in the FedExCup.
