Henrik Stenson's Dubai Double
By Torleif Sorenson on 11/18/13
It doesn't match the legendary Bobby Jones' "Impregnable Quadrilateral" or even the 2000-2001 "Tiger Slam," but on Sunday, Henrik Stenson accomplished something no golfer has yet done.
Stenson has won both the PGA Tour's FedEx Cup and the European Tour's Race to Dubai. In the same season.
"It has been an incredible summer for me, the (autumn) in America was great and now this," said Stenson, who was also second in The Open Championship and third in the [U.S.] PGA Championship. "It has been a dream season. As well as Stenson has played over the last couple of years, it would be foolish to rule out a major championship for the Swede.
And in addition to two gaudy trophies, Stenson also takes home €985,476, which is roughly equivalent to US $2.33 million. That's a lot of cabbage.

But did he do it with enough personality for the haters?
The Big Swede!!!
Next on the checklist: win a major.
The Big $wede!!!
I'm not hatin'. That dude tore it up. Doesn't change the fact that he has no personality on the course. Just makes it hard for me to watch.
he has tons of personality...off the course. he's a funny guy.

And Adam Scott won the Australian Masters for the second time in a row...guess that's not news.
Which made more money- The "Tiger Slam" or the "Dubai Double"?
985,476 euross is $1,330,720 (but who is counting?). Off by a million?
I think the article was wrong. I believe (could be wrong) the 1st place for the tournament was 985,476 euros. He also got a bonus of 1,000,000 for winning the race to dubi.
So combined about $2.33 million.

I would like to congratulate Ian Poulter for showing class. He was as competitive as ever on the course but went out of his way to praise Stenson after. He even joined in the dousing of The Big Swede by mopping up Stenson and throwing his arms around him. Great sportsmanship all around.
joe jones says:
For those of you that think Stenson is bland and shows little personality you would probably hate Ben Hogan for the same reason He was called The Wee Ice Mon for a reason. We have all kinds of players on the tour that exude personality that can't shine Stenson's shoes talent wise.
Right now he's the best there is to watch.
