Bubba Wins in Los Angeles

Bubba Watson had not won a professional event since slipping on the green jacket at Augusta National on April 8, 2012. But on a very challenging Riviera Country Club layout, Watson shot a pair of 64s on Saturday and Sunday — including a remarkable hole-out for birdie from a green-side bunker at 6 — to win his fifth professional event, the PGA Tour's Northern Trust Open.
Local favorite Dustin Johnson finished two shots back, but the other big story here is Web.com Tour player Jason Allred, who turned in his best performance ever as a pro. Allred finished T-3 with Brian Harman — and his $386,000 check is more than he has ever earned during his entire career. He lost his Tour card in 2008, so he Monday-qualified to get into this week's event. Allred is now exempt into next week's Honda Classic, as a result.

Bubba's sons response " Yay Daddy was wonderful. It was also nice to see Bubba have a great weekend. I think his major problem since he won the Masters is that he has been pressing. When he gets results that are less than good he loses concentration. He certainly was locked in this weekend.
Gerry ruined my weekend. What a jerk.
