Shark Meets Chainsaw
By Torleif Sorenson on 9/16/14
Greg Norman is recovering following a nearly catastrophic accident with a chainsaw on Saturday. The Hall of Fame golfer was pruning trees at his home in south Florida when a particularly heavy branch pulled his left hand toward the running chainsaw. Doctors later told Norman that it missed an artery by a fraction of an inch.
"Thank God the blade wasn't running full speed or it would have taken my hand off. I handled everything as calmly as I could. There is no major damage. There is nerve damage, but no muscular damage. They fixed me up and here I am."
We hope your recovery is as complete and as painless as possible, Mr. Norman.
