Jim Furyk's Earthquake Reaction
By mustang6560 on 8/25/11
Jim Furyk was in the middle of his pre-tournament interview Tuesday at the Barclays when the 5.8 magnitude earthquake hit near Richmond, Virginia.
And his reaction was perfect. Jim was in the middle of a thought and as the room started to shake he paused and said nonchalantly, "earthquake". Typical Jim Furyk-esque - no emotion!
He continued to pause, watching the room with a keen sense of awareness. It was almost like he was planning his escape route if things really got bad.
As soon as the shaking stopped, he acknowledged the earthquake, and then proceeded with his thought about who knows what.

It's all about keeping your focus.
"it's lasting too long isn't it?" LOL> priceless. Way to be, Jim.
prerolls suck. screw you Yahoo/PGA Tour. pretty funny though.
Ben Crane says:
Love it. Wish I had that kind of composure
"Huh, anyway..." great reaction.
SD Charlie says:
That is great "Hmm, anyway.." Is Furyk from California? The ground is always shaking out here, so you tend to get used to it after a while. Furyk's reaction is typical California, looking around, etc.. hah.
I also like how he seemingly used the tremors of the earth to help dislodge whatever was in his teeth. haha.
Home town is Ponte Vedra Florida, grew up in PA.
I'm beginning to like Furyk more and more.
someone must have been playing golf during the earthquake
