2012 Shot of the Year Nominee
By mustang6560 on 2/14/12
I know it's only February, but I would like to nominate Corey Pavin's upside-down, left-handed, up-against-a-tree-root-to-six-feet-to-save-par chip shot as the "2012 Shot of the Year".
The shot occurred in the final round of the Allianz Championship on the par 3 14th. The season is still very young so I expect to see several more nominees, however, I can't imagine they will be any more impressive than Corey's up-and-down.
The 2010 U.S. Ryder Cup captain went on the win his first career Champions Tour event in a playoff against Peter Senior.

I have always been a big fan of Pavin's. Now I know why. One of the greatest competitors that has ever played the game. And a class act as well.
Wow, nice shot. I would have used the foot wedge.
i did that last week but i was blindfolded.
Wow. I typically whiff once prior to taking an unplayable.
that was nice....
