The 78-foot Eagle Chip In
By mustang6560 on 2/22/12
It took two extra holes, but Francesco Molinari defeated Thomas Bjorn in the first round of the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship in dramatic fashion earlier today. Playing his third shot from just off the green, the Italian chipped in for eagle from 78 feet on the par-5 second hole at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club.
It was the perfect shot in the perfect moment. However, he left a lot to be desired with his celebration. Come on man! You just chipped in for eagle to win! Can I get a little more emotion than a slight raise of the hands?

I would have done some backflips....on second thought that would not go well.
they're not that uncommon of an occurrence for these guys to get too exciting over them.
Even more remarkable was Jim Furyk chipping in from about 30 yards for birdie which put pressure on Dustin Johnson who had a 30 yarder for eagle. DJ followed up Jim's chip in with one of his own only it was for eagle and won the hole.
