S@#$%: Justin Rose Edition By mustang6560 on 4/30/12
At first glance, Justin Rose's tee shot on the par-3 14th during the second round of the Zurich Classic looked innocent. But, upon further inspection, the Englishman did in fact S@#$% it.
@JustinRose99 tweeted: Yes, yes, yes!! I shanked it on 14 today!! Now I know how you all feel!! #skankyshankIf you've ever played a round of golf, then you know what a S@#$% can do to your round. However, Justin is a professional and professionals can bounce back from the dreaded hosel-shot. Justin finished the second round with a score of five-under par 67 and notched his fifth top 10 of the season with a T10 finish at the Zurich. I wish I could rebound as effectively when I S@#$% a shot. watch video Image via Flickr, Keith Allison Did I miss something? Tip Your Editor [ comments ]
The problem with a S@#$% is the mental challenge that comes with the next shot. Typically, your possible shot dispersion might be 10 degrees to either side of your target, maybe even 20 degrees. A S@#$% suddenly brings objects a full 90 degrees offline into play. It is really hard to make that next swing knowing the ball could go anywhere within a 110-120 degree arc. 4/30/12
Sarcasm in print is always tough. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and laugh. 5/1/12
Homer's right - you cannot see the facial expression on a person when they're tweeting. But he still should have left off that third sentence before his hash-tag. 5/1/12
worst feeling ever. I have gotten them 2x in my golfing life. couldn't hit an iron from the fairway for 14 straight holes just a 80* squirter to the right. 5/1/12
