Here is a cool golf-related story.
Earlier in July, Prep Rally brought you the touching story of 10-year-old Kyle Lograsso, a cancer survivor who masterminded a bizarre 100-hole golf marathon as a fundraiser for retinoblastoma, the cancer which cost him his left eye. When it came time to deliver on his rather optimistic golfing goal, Lograsso accomplished the feat and then some, golfing a total of 109 holes after teeing off for the first time at 6 a.m.I'm beyond impressed by this fifth-grader's determination. Not only did he beat his goal of playing 100 golf holes by nine, he also raised exceeded his target of raising $50k for cancer research by $25k! Plus, check out the video below. Clearly, Kyle has some game too!

Golf Digest writer Dave Kindred did a really nice article on this kid a few years ago. It included a really funny picture of Lograsso practicing putting in the family room, and throwing his head back in despair after missing a putt.
So what did he shoot?
I'm guessing he was playing "ready golf"
wow very inspiring. way to keep your head down at the end of the vid kid!!! Awesome stuff!

This is a prime example of why we should make every effort to make golf available for our young people if not free at least at a reasonable rate. We need more kids like this in the game.
I follow Kyle's exploits via Facebook. I do know he has gotten at least one hole in one so far. I do not know how well he scores but as much as he seems to play, I wouldn't be surprised if he shoots in the 70's already.
