Chinese golf fans steal Michael Phelps' golf balls By Torleif Sorenson on 3/14/13
The newest episode of Golf Channel's "The Haney Project" shows some overly enthusiastic golf fans in China picking up and stealing Michael Phelps' golf balls — even the ones Phelps put in the middle of the fairway!
The Olympic swimming star is smashingly popular in China; he captured eight gold medals at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. Phelps certainly a good laugh about this episode, which is more than he and the accompanying golf rules officials might have had if this occurred during an actual tournament.
