Office Putt of the Month Challenge
By mustang6560 on 5/7/13
As a general rule, we try to stay away from news announced in a press release or in a PR-sy kind of way because it's usually lame and super company or brand specific. But rules are meant to be broken, right? Plus, we're pretty impressed with Odyssey's new "Office Putt of the Month" challenge.
It's a social media campaign designed to boost Odyssey's presence on Twitter and YouTube, which is what every company is ultimately trying to do (increasing brand awareness is the primary goal of marketing). And they're doing it in an awesome way. Simply record a video of an awesome putt you made, upload it to YouTube (or use Vine) and tweet it @OdysseyGolf and include #OdysseyOfficePutt.
Currently, this video is leading the competition. It's cool, but there has to be something better out there. Unfortunately, our office building is way too ordinary so I can't top it. But if your office building is awesome, then you should start filming right now! We'd love to see an oober win!

oh yeah, totally skilled golfer
You don't need a huge offfice. Just some hotwheels race track, a ladder or 2, and some imagination.
Nice TaylorMade putter he's using!

In 1999, when I was a technical support analyst working in an office tower, we had an office putting-construction contest amongst various groups on our floor. My idea for a "hole" was to putt to the elevator lobby, go down one floor to 12, then finish the hole there.
Our managers shot down that idea. (Party poopers.)
I got it. I'm gonna putt thru the hallway having the ball bounce off corners ( like in putt-putt ) and when the ball hits the cup, it pushes forward on the vending machine and out pops a nice cold delicious Mountain Dew.
Damn I meant to put when the ball bounces off corners I meant bounce off a board to make a 90 degree turn.
