What A Bunker Shot Feels Like
By Torleif Sorenson on 7/24/13
It must be so nice to be an employee of Titleist Performance Institute. Not only do you get to actually play golf, but you also get to play with lots of neat toys, including a GoPro high-definition video camera.
One of TPI's more creative employees decided to somehow attach a GoPro to a golf ball, drop it in a bunker, and have at it with a 60° wedge.
Don't ask me how they got the camera to stay on the ball... or how the camera didn't get destroyed...

I think they just hit the camera. From a bunker, you're not hitting the camera directly plus those go pros are incredibly resilient. We've put ours through most things and it's come out without a scratch.
That's pretty cool. Not sure exactly how or what they did - but birdie is right, the GoPros are made to be pretty darn indestructible. I've been trying to get some friends to chip in and buy one for our lake cottages to do some videos of skiing, wakeboarding, airchair, tubing, etc.
I'm calling shenanigans. Looks like some clever editing.
