Torleif Sorenson says:
jpjeffery: What exactly do you mean? Are you saying you would rather blow an evening watching "CSI: Boise" or "Law & Order: Missing Cats Unit" or some stupid reality show like "Who Wants to Marry a Celebrity Chef?"

jpjeffery says:
No, Torleif, I'm just saying that I don't get the Golf Channel because I'm an Englishman living in England. No Golf channel here. :(

But that Missing Cats Unit show sounds good...

One Sunday in 1970, my wife and I parked our rented Cherokee next to a Learjet, tail number N1AP. An aggravated looking fellow came out and threw a golf bag in the door. There was a multicolored umbrella painted on the side by the door. I knew just enough about golf back then to know who it was.
That airport was GSW, Greater Southwest International. Once a major airport, it no longer exists, plowed under, on the edge of DFW.
I've often wondered why he was so angry that day.

jp, I get Golf Channel in Singapore, albeit a far different version than the US version, but I get it. if I can get it here, I would think you can in England.

Torleif Sorenson says:
jpjeffery: Thanks for the explanation. I would love to go back and visit England someday; I was stationed at RAF Lakenheath in Suffolk (halfway between Cambridge and Norwich) for two years awhile back.

jpjeffery says:
@mmontisano: Nope. It used to be but stopped in 2007 because it couldn't show live tournaments. I'm not convinced the PGA Tour has quite mastered the concept of a global product yet...

Falcon, that would have been May 3, 1970. Arnie had just lost a playoff to Jack Nicklaus at the Byron Nelson Classic in Dallas.

falcon50driver says:
Wow that is fantastic! Wes thanks. You know I wanted to research that for years, just never got around to it.
