What's In The Bag
By Torleif Sorenson on 4/23/14
For over a decade, one of my favorite features each month in Golf Digest has been "What's In My Bag." Now, the men and women at TaylorMade adidas Golf have released YouTube videos of four of their endorsing players, allowing golf fans "an inside look" at what these touring pros carry with them on the course.

This writer is all for seeing the accessories and tools these pros take with them on the course. Also, it serves as a good insight into how personable these players are on-camera.

But for some reason, TMaG's marketing people fail to have these pros tell us about their golf clubs. Some of us are quite curious about why they play certain clubs. Only Justin Rose provided any valuable insight about why he chose a TaylorMade Ghost Spider blade.

Also notice that none of these four are women. It would be nice if the TMaG people would reach beyond the proverbial "low-hanging fruit" and give some props to LPGA and LET players who play their brand.

At any rate, here are four clips featuring the aforementioned Rose, along with Jason Day, Sergio Garcia, and Dustin Johnson:

I like how Day keeps his gloves in a ziploc baggie to extend their life. Thrifty!

@beef... I would think the ziploc bag would shorten the life, not extend it.

mjaber: If you squeeze the air out of the bag before sealing it closed, that *might* help extend the life-span, although I admit that I'm not completely certain.

I keep my spare gloves in a zip lock bag, not to extend their life but to keep them dry incase my bag gets soaked in the rain... as it did today.

I would think the ziplock bag would hold the moisture, essentially making them useless. wouldn't drying them out be better?

The moisture keeps the leather supple so it does dry and get hard.

You guys don't store your gloves in the original sleeve? I do, and I'm a total slob. It does help extend the life.

Taken together these comments are a total disaster.

Actually Beef I would like to add to my original post. Yes I do keep my new gloves in the original package. I keep my rain gloves, whose package distintegrated a long time ago, and one older glove that I might use if its not raining hard enough to wear the rain gloves. The true purpose of the bag for me is mostly to keep the gloves together in lieu of the original packaging
