Nicklaus Silences Johnny Miller
By Torleif Sorenson on 5/22/14
Yahoo! Sports blogger Shane Bacon dug up some video of Jack Nicklaus and Johnny Miller playing back in 2010 at the Golf Club at Harbor Shores. (The semi-private course in Benton Harbor, Michigan was designed by the Golden Bear himself.) Miller found himself facing a 102-foot putt that he thought was pointless, saying "there's no chance putting it."
Notice that Nicklaus only briefly studied the line before he putted.
"You may be disappointed if you fail, but you are doomed if you don't try."

That's why Jack Nicklaus is the best that's ever been and Johnny Miller is a f*king windbag who's living vicariously through everyone while announcing. Not only did Jack not study the line and step up to hit it, he does it while the sh*thead is talking right in his swing! My wife will attest -- my most used statement while watching every telecast is "god -- shut UP, Miller!!
Exactly, birdieXris,... Miller sucks. Same thing, my wife hearing me complain about Miller's stupidity over & over & over & over. Go away Miller.
Hey I'm going there tomorrow.
Jack loves undulating greens.
Funny, but lucky, he crushed that putt. It was racing along when it hit the hole then almost bounced it.
I've seen this before, months ago, but it's still a lot of fun to watch.
I guess Miller was getting at that it would be easier to have hit a pitch shot from there?
