Golf Hero: Gus Andreone, PGA
By Torleif Sorenson on 12/23/14
Last week, word went around the golf world that 103-year-old Gus Andreone, the oldest member of the PGA of America, had become the oldest golfer in the United States to make a hole-in-one. Andreone sank his tee-shot at the 14th hole at Palm Aire Country Club in Sarasota, Florida.
Few details and virtually no pictures of Andreone were available, but finally we have a video profile of the man from Fox affiliate WTVT-DT in Tampa and reporter Kimberly Kuizon. Enjoy!
And Mr. Andreone, you are oobgolf's latest golf hero. Thank you for living long and prospering — and may you have a Merry Christmas!

HIOs are cool, but for some real excitement, my friend Billy hit his driver 263 yards, then three wood even further, 265 yards into the hole on the par 5 13th in our weekly dogfight. If the odds on making a HOI are 33,000 to one , then an albatross has to be up in the millions.
