Kerry Wood

With Spring Training in full swing in both Florida and Arizona I thought it would be a good time to run a few special Golfer of The Week's with MLB players. Special Thanks to Adam Witter for landing the interviews. First to the plate... or the mound, in this case, Kerry Wood.

Kerry will begin this season with a new team, the Cleveland Indians. Kerry had one of the best starts to a career in Major League Baseball history, but has been troubled by injuries throughout his career. From his Wikipedia entry: "In his fifth career start, on May 6, 1998, he threw a one-hit, no walk, 20-strikeout shutout against the Houston Astros, tying Roger Clemens' record for strikeouts in a 9-inning game and breaking Bill Gullickson's single-game rookie record of 18 strikeouts in 1980. The game is considered by many to be among the most dominant pitching performances in the history of baseball."
