Your missing out on some cool charts...
Daniel Walters a.k.a. dabert50
How old are you and what's your occupation?
I am 62 years old and retired, but teach Motorcycle riding for the Harley-Davidson Riders Edge Program except in the winter (December through March) I teach skiing in Austria.

When did you start playing golf and what's your handicap?
I started playing golf about 5 years ago and my handicap is 28.

How often do you play?
I try to play at least once a week but don't quite manage that as yet.

Tell me about a great shot you've made.
My favorite shot was a 290 yard drive down a dogleg left that left me in the middle of the fairway with a clean 150 yard shot at the green (which I made and parred the hole).

What is your best golf memory?
Playing a course in Austria called Golf Club Reit in Winkl that is in the Alps and the first 5 holes are in Austria, 6 through 17 are in Germany and the 18th brings you back into Austria. The course is fantastic and the scenery is breath taking.

What is your "home" course?
My home course is the Cleghorn Plantation Golf & Country Club.

What ball do you play?
I generally play a Titleist pro V1.

My clubs are TaylorMade.

Favorite pro?
My Favorite Pro is Tiger Woods.

Favorite course you've played?
Stonehaven at Glade Springs in Daniels, West Virginia.

Dream course you've yet to play?
Far too many to count!

Best round ever- and what course?
My best round ever was a 90 at the Golf Club Gut Ising in Chieming, Germany. My best feeling round ever was at Port Royal Golf Club, Robbers Row in Hilton Head Island, SC.

What is one aspect of your golf game you would like to improve on in the next year?
My short game needs lots of work! I can't seem to get the chipping and pitching where I have control and confidence.

Tell me a story.
In Kenmore, Scotland there is a course called Taymouth Castle Golf Club which is one of the most scenic and beautiful courses you can imagine. The course is tough and unforgiving and you must walk - no carts allowed or available. You tee off on the first hole in Front of the Castle and play all 18 holes going up and down around the Castle catching views of it and the gardens from almost every angle. As you are playing in on the 18th hole the view is even more spectacular. So much so that even if you played a horrible game you quickly forget about the problems and just thankful that you were lucky enough to play there. When I play Taymouth Castle my wife volunteers to be my caddie and generally pulls my hand trolly just so she can be along for the beautiful walk. I would love to have that as my home course!

Will you adopt me?

That course does sound awesome. Let me know if your current caddie quits. Is Tiger still your favorite player though?
the law says:
you should not be playing Pro-V's.

What ball should I be playing? I am open to any suggestions - need all the help I can get.

I don't think I could compete with Tiger on or off the golf course! If I did I would lose my caddie for sure. But I still think Tiger is an awesome player (golf that is).
the law says:
Try looking into something in the Bridgestone range, or the Titleist NX Tour. The Pro V is designed for lower handicapped golfers, so I do not think that you will benefit from using this ball. You want something with a harder core. Balls are so good these days, you can choose one that suits your ball flight. I hope this helps.
