Your missing out on some cool charts...
Elijah Hardin a.k.a. ehardin
Our first GOW of 2010. I tried something new (or old, since I used to do this) and added my own comments throughout the interview. We'll see how it goes. My comments are in italics.

How old are you and what's your occupation?
I'm 32 and work as a software engineer for a social networking company.
Hmmm... using this info and the answer from the last question we should try to guess what company!

When did you start playing golf and what's your handicap?
I started playing golf when I was 20 then for no reason at all I took a 10 year break. I started playing again about two years ago.
No reason at all = broke + married.

How often do you play?
I try to play at least one round a week. Some weeks I'm able to get in two rounds.
Yet oob only shows him tracking about twice a month. Sandbagger?!

Tell me about a great shot you've made.
I can't think of one specific "amazing" shot I have made. Anytime I hole a chip I get pretty excited.
Congrats to Elijah for this pleasure. If I only got excited about holed chips, I'd only be happy golfing about once every three years. I have to settle for getting excited about the beer cart girl. Then I know I will have at least 3 highlights a round.

What is your "home" course?
I guess I consider Coyote Ridge in Lewisville my "home" course. It challenges all aspects of my game... deep rough, great bunkers, tough greens, and water!

What ball do you play?
I'm not picky, I'll play whatever is in my bag (usually what I find on the golf course).
More reason for people to put logos on their balls. Everytime you lose a ball you are marketing to the Elijahs of this world.

Clubs?
I had been playing with a set I bought at a garage sale about 10 years ago, so this year I bought all new clubs. My driver is a Callaway Diablo, stiff flex, 10 degree. I carry 15 degree and 21 degree Diablo fairway woods. My irons are 2009 TaylorMade Burner 4-GW. My wedges are Titleist Vokey Spin-Milled. My putter is an Odyssey White Hot.

Favorite pro?
My first answer was Tiger because he is an amazing golfer. But I'm not sure if that a good answer anymore, lol.
Maybe not this week, but within a couple months it will be fine.

Favorite course you've played?
Tour 18 in Flower Mound, TX. The course holes are replicas of some of the best holes around the nation. It's fun to play holes that have a little history to them.
I've played a course like this in Maryland. It's fun for a special round or two. I like the choice!

Dream course you've yet to play?
As "generic" as it sounds I would like to play Pebble Beach.
I'm not sure "generic" and Pebble Beach should ever be in the same sentence. We may run the same answer weekly, but that doesn't make it a bad choice.

Best round ever- and what course?
I shot an 83 at Lake Park Golf Course in Lewisville, TX. Not the toughest course I've played, but I'll take it.

What is one aspect of your golf game you would like to improve on in the next year?
I need to improve my drives. They are still fairly inconsistent so I've resorted to a 3/4 swing to keep them straight. If I can get back to 100% and still hit the fairway 75% of the time I'll be happy.
Wouldn't we all be?

Tell me a story.
I'm a die hard Texas Tech fan. My wife and I have had season tickets for 6 years now. We drive about 700 miles round trip each weekend during football season for home games.
I could probably do about 5000 words on this one, with all of the recent stuff going on, but you wouldn't believe how tough it is to type up stories locked in this supply closet, so I've got to stop.

Thanks!
I dunno... what do you guys think? Is GOW better with me being a jackass throughout?

some might enjoy it, yet you might offend others. I wouldn't like it on mine. Yet I would still like to be featured.

Good stuff. Replies would be good too! It is GOW so it gives 6 days of comment fights to read through everyday.

Keep up with the comments in italics. I would, however, allow the GOW to preview your sarcasm prior to posting to avoid upsetting anyone. I do think that most oobers who would subject themselves to being GOW would probably be fine with it.

So I made a good point about advertising, so where can I purchase my OOB proV1's??? I've been M.I.A, but do we have an OOB store with lots of good stuff to buy to help support the website?? If not, maybe you guys should think of starting up something with towels, hats, balls, ballmarkers, bags, bracelets, headcovers.... I'd buy it! anywho, let me know!

The are on a website, the are shamelessly willing to let you post them up for the envy of all the other GOW's, have at it, screw what they think, I wish you were doing this when I was GOW, but hey no biggie. If they dont want jackass comments, they shouldnt email the jackass asking to be GOW haha. By the way, when are you sending me those nike clubs you got from the Oven? I will send you a shiny nickle. and Elijah, keep up the good work, I am glad you got your balls out of your wifes purse to be able to go out and play, just forget the football, that is why God made TIVO, you can watch the game at home in your boxers, go golf on saturday, Jesus would want that.
