Your missing out on some cool charts...
Andy Starbuck a.k.a. AndyStarbuck
How old are you and what's your occupation?
30, Ad Sales Director for

When did you start playing golf and what's your handicap?
Stared playing when I earned my Golf Merit Badge in Boy Scouts when I was ~12. On and off until I graduated college and then started really liking the game and wanting to improve. OOB has me at a 10 and change handicap right now. I'll take it.

How often do you play?
I would say around 5 or 6 times a month in the summer. Not easy living in NYC.

Tell me about a great shot you've made.
Last fall, I pitched over a bunker from around ~35 yards (to eventually win the hole playing Best Ball) but the shot was blind so I had no reaction. Great shot, but I didn't quite get the glory response I would have liked to have.

What is your best golf memory?
Probably my first par. Played with my cousin at age 13 or so. Drove into a bunker, hit out, 3 wood onto the green, and sunk a 10 foot putt. Later that night, my cousin would tell my aunt that I'm a "natural". (I've secretly called myself The Natural since.)
Ed Note- Not a secret any more Wonderboy

What is your "home" course?
Probably the muni near the house I grew up and visit in the summer. Western Hills in Waterbury, CT. $18 in the afternoons on weekends. Can't beat it.
Ed Note- Isn't that where Happy Gilmore played to earn his way onto the Tour?

What ball do you play?
Pro V1x.

Tommy Armour 845s. (That many golfers can't be wrong.)

Favorite pro?
Maybe Camilo. He's talked at Golfsmith in midtown a couple times and I've attended both, asked questions, and gotten autographs. And I wish Hank Kuenhe was better. I always liked him.

Favorite course you've played?
I'll say Mercer Oaks: East where I shot my best round. No shame!

Dream course you've yet to play?
I've read a lot about Ballyneal lately. Looks amazing.

Best round ever- and what course?
76 on 8/1/09 at Mercer East in NJ. Read all about it on my OOB page. Beat my previous best by 7 strokes. Still doesn't seem real.

What is one aspect of your golf game you would like to improve on in the next year?
Probably to find a nice consistent tempo with my driver. (And chipping, but that's always an aspect to improve for me.)

Tell me a story.
One time after playing at Western Hills in CT I was really hungry. I walked the round and had worked up an appetite. I went to the McDonalds near the course and saw their Dollar Menu for the first time. I had $7 so I bought 7 double cheeseburgers. I drove them home and ate all of them in one sitting. We have pictures.

Starbuck is an excellent golfer! Why was there no mention of his annual Skeep Skow Golf Trip?

Couldn't get anymore boring I'm afraid-perhaps that's a bit harsh-sorry. No offence-The Micky D story was good but we need more laughs for the GOW. Let's here of your golf trip-a few beer stories etc...

Sorry Bud, didn't know I needed a comedy bit ready when they sent me the questions. After seeing the other entries, I will try to follow suit and crap my pants next round.

Those stories are not even safe for the internet.
