Your missing out on some cool charts...
Andrew Ryan a.k.a. thedteamhr
How old are you and what's your occupation?
30, Sales Rep at WebCollage.

When did you start playing golf and what's your handicap?
I first played Golf when I was about 12. But after being cut from the Golf team in High School, I ended up playing Hockey and Lacrosse. I’ve started playing Golf seriously in the last 4 years. My handicap's a 19 but don't be fooled. I excel when money's on the line.

How often do you play?
1 - 2 times a week. Weekends mostly.

Tell me about a great shot you've made.
I was at Timber Point playing the Red Course. The 3rd hole is a 486 yard par 5. I drove it out about 275. Hit my 2nd shot about 30 yards from the hole. Shanked my 3rd shot off to the rough on the left side of the green. The green was sloping down away from me. I chipped my 4th shot onto the fringe of the green and it rolled down and in for Birdie.

What is your best golf memory?
Playing Bethbage Black from the tips. I think I shot about a 120, but it was great to be playing the same holes that we’ve seen history take place on.

What is your "home" course?
Living on Long Island, I’m blessed with a slew of great courses, but seeing that I live 2.5 minutes away, it’s Bergen Point in West Babylon, NY

What ball do you play?
Callaway HX Hot Plus

Taylor Made Rac OS irons (3 – 9, PW, SW), Taylor Made r7 Draw Rescue Club, Nike Ignite 003 Putter, Taylor Made Burner Driver

Favorite pro?
Jim Furyk

Favorite course you've played?
Kings North, Myrtle Beach National

Dream course you've yet to play?
Pebble Beach without a doubt

Best round ever- and what course?
Mill Pond Golf Course, Shot an 86. Not bad for 24 handicap at the time.

What is one aspect of your golf game you would like to improve on in the next year?
My short irons. Without a doubt. I can drive a ton, but I am consistently giving away strokes on my short iron shots.

Tell me a story.
My only-hole-in-one happened at Hamlet Wind Watch Golf Course. I was on hole 4 and drove the ball about 250 down the middle of the fairway. When I got out there, my ball was nowhere to be seen. After looking for about 5 minutes I noticed and drainage cover had been left open. Sure enough, I knocked my ball right in there. So while not a “true” hole in one. I’ll count until a real one comes along.

what is the deal with all the haters?
falcon50driver says:
A while back I had a typo, and typed TOOL instead of FOOL on this website. Did I create a new use of the word tool? Is it used anywhere else? What does it mean?
falcon50driver says:
Nevermind, I looked it up on Google...."Urban Dictionary: tool
One who lacks the mental capacity to know he is being used. A fool. A cretin. Characterized by low intelligence and/or self-steem."
thedteamhr says:
Hate away...The Golfer of the week remains focused and plays Par style Golf even amongst hecklers.
bkeckler says:
I find it hard to believe that in 2010 someone has not heard of the word tool....Merlin this makes you a tool.
