Your missing out on some cool charts...
Carl Eyer Jr. a.k.a. cgeyerjr
How old are you and what's your occupation?
46 in June. I am an Information Systems Analyst for Tyco Electronics. We don't make toys, but are the largest electrical and electronics connector manufacturer in the world.

When did you start playing golf and what's your handicap?
I learned to play when I was about 12. Rode my bike to the course with my golf bag on my back. I have a 24 handicap according to the oobgolf calculation. This will be the first year I really track one. I hope the trend I started doesn't continue.

How often do you play?
That's the nice thing about joining up with the league. It's only 9 holes, but pretty much guarantees that I'll get out once a week. Other than that, I hope to get about 5 full rounds in somewhere else.

Tell me about a great shot you've made.
My best golf shot was probably at Myrtle Beach on the Captain Hook course. It was down a 100 foot slope, deflected off one brick and then it hit yet another brick before finally dropping in the cup. Hole in one!
I've played that hole- that's impressive

What is your best golf memory?
Playing with my buddy when we were learning the game. Same guy, two different days. One day I witnessed him get a hole in one on a 125 yd hole. Another day I was throwing rocks and broken tree limbs up in a tree trying to get his 9 iron down which he had thrown up there after his shot. :)

What is your "home" course?
Deer Valley will be where I consider home this year. I also like Fairview in Lebanon, Pa. Oh, I almost forgot. I'll get to play the East Course of the Hershey Country Club this year. It was a Christmas gift (Thanks Patty!). They played the Nike Tour there several years ago.

What ball do you play?
My favorite is a Pinnacle. I also still play some basketball.
You guys get funnier each week... everyone's a jokester

Yes, I do have clubs. My irons are Square Two that I have had for years. I don't even know what my driver is, I take what my father in-law gets rid of.

Favorite pro?
The Golden Bear.

Favorite course you've played?
Myrtle Wood Palmetto Course (Myrtle Beach)

Dream course you've yet to play?
I'd love to try St Andrews or any of the coastal courses across the pond.

Best round ever- and what course?
81 at Fairview.

What is one aspect of your golf game you would like to improve on in the next year?
Greens in Regulation ought to do it.

Tell me a story.
I ran my first marathon 2 years ago with my sister. I spent more time running over that summer than playing golf. But since half the battle of a marathon is mental, I started playing golf in my mind while I ran. It worked out great because I was going for a 4 hr 20 min time and that's about the time it takes to play 18 holes on average. I told my sister about my routine and on race day she drew a pin and flag on my shirt along with my name and "I'd rather be golfing!" on the back. It made the race that much more tolerable as people yelled "Go Carl" and I could hear the chuckles about the golf comment.
