rulegolf rulefourteen Invisibrush Golf Towel Review
By mustang6560 on 3/14/12
I've tested a few different microfiber golf towels over the last few months but the rulegolf rulefourteen Invisibrush Golf Towel might be my favorite so far. It's similar to other microfiber towels on the market in that it has an absorbent microfiber top but it offers something they don't - a coarse scrubber bottom, which makes cleaning your clubs much easier. If you're looking to upgrade your current golf towel, then you should check out the rulefourteen Invisibrush Golf Towel.

From rulegolf:
The rulefourteen Invisibrush (TM) Golf Towel is a revolutionary, all-in-one hybrid towel that cleans clubs, grips and balls better than a brush or towel alone! It features an innovative, patent pending, dual-grain construction with an absorbent microfiber face and a coarse scrubber backing for clean clubs and crisp shots. The all-in-one rulefourteen Invisibrush (TM) towel is the best golf towel you'll ever own!
Back when I was an "occasional" golfer, I used to use a cloth golf towel (which was essentially a bath towel) to keep my clubs clean during a round of golf (What? I was young and naive, OK?). However, as I progressed into the "avid" golfer category, I realized I needed a towel with a little more substance so I hung ol' Lucy out to dry and added a microfiber golf towel to my bag (don't worry, she's still employed but her status has been downgraded to "rag").

It didn't take me long, though, to realize that there was something missing. Sure, my new microfiber golf towel was very absorbent. If you wet the inside at the beginning of the round, it will still be wet at the end of the round. But the problem is the microfibers are so soft that it's hard to really scrub the dirt and grime out of your grooves on a muddy day. That was something Lucy did so well. She was hard to keep wet but she knew how to scrub my clubs clean.

The rulefourteen Invisibrush Golf Towel is a hybrid golf towel. It provides the absorbency of a standard microfiber golf towel with the cleaning ability of a traditional bath towel. I used it on several occasions and it quickly grew on me (I've not yet named her though). I have a club brush on my bag but I didn't need it because the coarse scrubber on the rulefourteen Invisibrush cleaned my club face more effectively. I will say it doesn't stay as wet for as long because the absorbent microfiber layer is on the top, which is in direct sunlight. However, what you lose in absorbency you gain in scrubbing ability. In my experience, I found that the towel stayed wet for about two thirds of a round of golf. The thing is though you don't really need the moisture to clean your clubs. It helps if the towel is a little wet but the coarse layer is tough enough to clean the dirt anyway.

I won't go as far as to say the rulefourteen Invisibrush Golf Towel is the best towel ever made. But I plan to keep it on my bag for the foreseeable future. The microfiber top provides enough absorbency for my liking and the coarse bottom makes cleaning my clubs more effective. You can purchase one for yourself for $25 online at rulegolf.com and it is available in two different sizes (16x28 and 20x40) and two different colors (white, black).

The company also makes a few companion products including the ruletwentyone Golf Ball Cleaner, which is a portable waterproof golf ball cleaner, and rulesixteen Divot Repair Tool, which doubles as a ball marker and divot repair tool. The ruletwentyone conveniently fits into your back pocket so you can keep it on your person without it causing a distraction. It features a bamboo terry interior so you can wet the inside of it to make cleaning your golf ball easier and a waterproof shell to keep your pants dry. The ruletwentyone Golf Ball Cleaner $12 and it's available in seven colors and the rulesixteen Divot Repair Tool is $5 and it's available in seven different styles.

Quite a revealing look into Nate's psyche. I'm picturing him alone in the garage under a bare light bulb, wiping down the golf clubs and having a conversation with a dingy old towel.
