You should now notice that the "handicap" text next to your actual handicap is now clickable. This will take you to a detailed chart of exactly how the number is calculated.
A good case of how this is useful is if you look at Andrew's scores:
here. You can see that he is about to have one of his 10 best scores drop off. That means he has to score better than a 22 differential on his next round if he wants to stay sub 20. Lets see if he can pull that off tomorrow...
HotBacon says:Another great addition to the site. In my head I knew the basics of handicap calculation, but this puts a whole new spin on it. Now it's easy to see what type of score I have to post to keep my handicap from rising. Talk about pressure!!

hogan72 says:I'm with HotBacon on this one - the pressure's going to kill me. Or, maybe it will inspire me? Either way, if I could just get rid of all of those "extra" shots (chunks, thins, 3 putts), I might be worrying about a threshold other than 20!! Thanks for this explanation - it was helpful. Now, back to my visualization exercises for this Sunday's round...

TaylorFade says:Fantastic addition. I love stats and numbers breakdowns. The most helpful/useful thing about seeing my scores is how important the slope/rating is to the differential. Shoot a great score at an easy track and your index won't budge. Post a decent round at a tough one and watch it plummet. I may start playing the tips all the time.
Thanks guys. This site keeps getting better every day. Y'all ought to have about 10 million members; and if I had anything to do with it you would.
