We first announced the World Am Giveaway in April, but in case this is the first you've heard of the giveaway, the World Am wants to pay for one lucky oobgolfer to play at this year's tournament. Here's some information about the Golf.com World Am Handicap Championship.

Hosted in Myrtle Beach, SC, the World Am, as it is commonly known, is the largest amateur golf event on the globe; attracting over 3,000 golfers of all skill levels from all 50 states and 25 international countries.

The tournament consists of four days (18 holes per day) of individual stroke play golf (net). Players are assigned to and compete within a flight based upon gender, age and handicap index.

In addition, all flight winners and ties advance to a 5th round, 18-hole "Flight Winners Playoff" to determine World Champion.

In addition to golf, the event features four nights of the World's Largest 19th Hole. Players and guests enjoy open bar, food, entertainment, and an interactive golf expo spread across the entire Myrtle Beach Convention Center.

@cincystephen- sorry about the confusion. That page is used by them for multiple sites- with ours sorted out. Our date is May 22, but they (honestly) probably added that date for a bigger site than us. We'll clarify but this should be considered to be May 22 for now.

@KTK - The world doesn't really end that day, those that don't ascend to heaven have to stay here for a while longer before going to hell, if I understand it correctly. Which may mean easier tee times at all your favorite courses. On second thought, it'll probably be just as crowded.
