The Tiger Circus . . .
It’s the biggest story in golf today, by design of Tiger and his handlers. And what kind of golf columnist would I be if I didn’t make it my storyline, too, right? But wait, isn’t there a PGA event going on this week? Where is that story?

I think Tiger is being the typical Tiger, insisting on being in complete control. I’m not going to get into it, but I will share with you two of the best takes on this that I have read in the last 48 hours. Read these if you’re interested:
1. John Feinstein’s take . . . Read More

2. Michael Bamberger, Sports Illustrated . . . Read More
Of course I’ll watch this morning, but I’d bet dollars to donuts there will be nothing in the 5-7 minutes that will be either informative or enlightening. Maybe, just maybe, Tiger will surprise us? . . . . . naaaaah, I wouldn’t count on it.

Now, For the Really BIG News in Golf. (wink)

EIDOLON Golf has just launched a completely new website, and I want to invite all my readers to take a look and share your feedback. You can find the new site at If you’ve been to our pages before, you’ll see quite a different look. The two big changes are that now we present the story on our patented V-SOLE wedges to golfers based on your golf profile – Better Player, Mid-Handicapper, Avid 18+, Senior, Ladies, Juniors. This allows us to more directly communicate the advantages of our technology and custom-build principles, and relate how this can help you cut strokes this year.

You’ll also find FREE downloadable eBooks that should help you understand wedges a little better and be clear on the new USGA rule governing grooves.

But the thing we are most proud of is our new purchasing interface that allows you to fully spec out your custom wedges so that they are really yours. No other company in the wedge business goes the lengths we do to build truly custom wedges, and we think this new interface will allow you to get what your short game needs.

So, please accept my personal invitation to visit our new site . . . and if you would like to try an EIDOLON wedge (or 2, 3 or 4), use Coupon Code “TWG25” to save $25 off any order. It’s the lowest price we’ve ever offered on our V-SOLE wedges.

But whether you purchase or not, I would appreciate you visiting the site, and giving us your feedback via a consumer survey we’ve put together. Just answer these ten questions about the new site and we’ll enter you in a drawing to win a new EIDOLON carry bag.

Thanks for taking the time to help us make our online experience even better, and we hope you enjoy the site.

See you Tuesday when I’ll take on another reader’s question. He or she will win a new EIDOLON wedge and hopefully you’ll be able to use the answer to improve your short game.

Century1 says:
I think the Golf media should let the Tiger thing die. If Tiger were not pursued
he would feel less important. If he felt less important, he would come down to earth, and would change his attitude. If he was left alone to realise just how insignificant he realy is in the big picture of life, he and the game of golf would be much better off.
A bigger travisty is the lack of actual golf we get to see when watching the networks chew up all of the time between comercials, and focussing on everything except the shots. I feel that the anouncers think we tune in to watch them. There is not any other sports coverage, which shows less of the actual game being played.
Good site Terry, a bit of visual tweeking and I think you have a winner.
Zepo1a says:
The "Survey" never asked about anyway to contact me (email address) Just the 10 questions? So I guess I'm not registered in the drawing?
Tee it High. says:
Terry, I took the survey after going through the site but I am not sure how that enters me into the drawing for a bag as it didn't ask for any personal information or contact details. Maybe I missed something...
twood says:
Is there a survey question for "experience with the survey"? There was no place to provide contact information for the drawing.
TravisMiller says:
I took the survey after perusing your new site. I noticed there wasn't an area to identify who you are on the survey. But of course this was after I hit submit. Like the new site BTW.
Kurt the Knife says:
The coupon code won't apply to my order.
Says its not valid.
wedgeguy says:
Oops, guys. I goofed up. The link in the post will be fixed soon, but if you have already taken the survey, do so again from this link, and it will have a final question to collect your email. We don't want to miss any potential winners!!! New survey link:
activesense says:
Like others before me, I filled out your survey and did not find an area to fill in contact details for your drawing.
activesense says:
Well after posting my last comment, the page refreshed and the link to the updated survey was there. Wow, you guys work fast.

I never got the whole "Tiger scandal" story. Didn't even watch his press conference. So a pro athlete is sleeping around. There's some big news. I realize that it's not every day that it's a top athlete with a squeaky clean image (Magic Johnson comes to mind), but that doesn't change the base facts.
mschad says:
Terry, I like the new site. Very easy to maneuver around and informative.
zli says:
Has the coupon expired? It doesn't seem to work
