1403 Montreal Ave Saint Paul, MN 55116-2460 www.GolfStPaul.org/Minnesota-... 651.695.3719 This is not your average municipal course; Highland National reopened in 2005 after a complete reconstruction overseen by architect Garrett Gill, including a First Tee program and an all-new practice facility. The design could be considered a cross between parkland and heathland styles. HNGC's signature hole is 15, which features the famous 'Snoopy' bunker, suggested by former head professional Bob Cotie and built with permission of the widow of Charles Schulz, the 'Peanuts' cartoonist who grew up playing and caddying on the original Highland course. Reviews/Comments
The course is in great shape except for the greens. Most of all the greens still have dirt patches, so this can mess the golfer up on longer putts especially longer putts with multiple levels/breaks. I have to addmitt. this city course is great. i played in a 16 man team event last weekend what a gem now. I cant remember when i putted on better greens for a public course. good length, great greens, nice bunkers (yes i found snoopys nose) its just a very good golf course. seemd very very clicky there. not very friendly staff. But all in all i real treat. plus i shot a 70 blind 1st time there. I guess you can say i might be judging this basied on my score. i will be back there in two weeks i will post another review then see if my mind changes Your Review
